One Day

One day, it'll happen
i'll find you there,
smiling back at me.
someday, it might occur
you'll find me sittin' there
waiting for you.

if one day, someday
we'll be able to meet
each other halfway
then would it matter?

if one day, someday
we'd be laughing together
having fun, staring at each other
then would it last?

one day, i could tell you
what im thinking about
while we're at it, i'll look into your eyes
& see all that you have to say.

someday, it might be for real
all theses things we've been longing for so dear
that we don't have to hear
words we never did.

if one day, someday,
we'll meet halfway
would it matter?
would you bother?

if one day, someday
we could be real
would it ever be a deal?
then, could there be a chance
that it will last?
